Diablo 4‘s Druid is a force of nature that calls on the spirits of animals and the natural world to aid them in battle. Here are the best Druid builds for leveling, endgame, and PvP in Diablo 4.

The Druid in Diablo 4 is a returning class from the expansion of Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Resurrected. We’ve had a good look at the Druid and spent several hours testing out their skills. While not as physically imposing as the Barbarian, the Druid is still a powerful melee fighter. Their main skills involve using the powers of nature to do their bidding.

Best Druid build in Diablo 4

The best Druid build is the Tornado Druid, a version of the class that brings the full force of the elements down to smite his enemies. The Tornado Druid is great for crowd control and gives players a variety of melee and ranged options.

To assemble the build start by selecting the Storm Strike ability as a primary skill at level 2 and upgrade this to Enhanced Storm Strike at level 3. From here, unlock the Tornado skill at level 4 and upgrade this all the way until Raging Tornado at level 6. At level 8, unlock the Fierce Storm Strike upgrade to complete the basic skills needed for this build, now simply max out Tornado until you reach level 12.

At level 12, learn Earthern Bulwark and upgrade it to Enhanced Earthern Bulwark at level 13. This will boost your defense and make you a more hardy Druid. Now, between levels 14 to 16, learn and upgrade Nature’s Reach to make your ranged attacks more powerful. This works great with Tornado and Storm Strike. Then at level 17, learn Wolves to summon two loyal wolf companions.

At level 18, learn Trample to shapeshift into a werebear and give yourself a temporary damage and defense boost when you need it. Then unlock Hurricane at level 19 and upgrade it all the way to Natural Hurricane at level 21. Are you seeing a pattern develop here?

Now more of our skills have been added we can focus on learning some useful passives to give the build a permanent stat boost. From level 22 to 49 learn the following skills when you get a level up:

  • Level 22-24: ‍Elemental Exposure
  • Level 25-27: ‍Defiance
  • Level 28-30: ‍Circle of Life
  • Level 31-33: ‍Resonance
  • Level 34: ‍Heart of the Wild
  • Level 35: ‍Perfect Storm
  • Level 36-38: ‍Wild Impulses
  • Level 39-41: ‍Abundance
  • Level 42: ‍Preserving Earthen Bulwark
  • Level 43: ‍Enhanced Wolf Pack
  • Level 44 Ferocious Wolf Pack
  • Level 45-47: Endless Tempest
  • Level 48-49: Defensive Posture

Rather than giving you a new attack, each of these will boost an existing skill you already have or add a passive upgrade that benefits the build in some way.

Finally, once you’ve gathered the 10 Renown extra skill points, spend them on the following passive skills to complete the build:

  • Renown 1: ‍Defensive Posture
  • Renown 2-4: ‍Nature’s Resolve
  • Renown 5-7: ‍Predatory Instinct
  • Renown 8-10: ‍Unrestrained

This build will take you close to the endgame and the Paragon board. From here, feel free to tailor your Druid to your liking, safe in the knowledge that you have the best build in the current meta.

Best Druid endgame build

Once you get past level 50 and have seen the ending of Diablo 4, things will ramp up as you’re pushed into the endgame. This means the build you used to reach this point may no longer be sufficient, and to make the most of the endgame content, you’ll need a new build.

Remember, if you want to switch from the above leveling build to the below endgame build, you’ll need to respec your skill points. Or you can simply start a new character and begin the game with the endgame build, skipping the campaign as you do. The choice is yours.

How to use the best Druid build in Diablo 4

The Druid is for players who want a strong and powerful melee fighter, but one that also has some unique spells that can differentiate the class from the more standard casters. Think of the Druid as a powerful battle mage who has a foot in both camps. They can burn enemies with scorching spells but just as easily turn into a werewolf and rip demons asunder with their claws.

The Druid can also summon minions. While not as committed to this playstyle as the Necromancer, the Druid can still enjoy a posse of followers who can join players in battle. The class is a great all-rounder, showing little snippets of what other Diablo 4 classes have to offer, but all in one place.

That wraps up everything we know about the best Druid build in Diablo 4, and if anything changes, we’ll be sure to update our guide.
